MassMutual: Uplifting Black Businesses
Commerating the 100 year anniversary of the Tulsa Massacre.
As part of the “Black History, Continued” initiative at The New York Times, T Brand worked with MassMutual to create the digital package 100 Black-Owned Businesses You’ll Love. The piece notes that 2021 marks 100 years since the Tulsa “Black Wall Street” Massacre — and that Black businesses have managed to grow in this country despite the many challenges related to systemic racism. This is followed by a list of 100 fantastic Black-owned businesses, with links out to their sites. The initiative continues from there: MassMutual also sponsored individual display ads, one for each business, which will run across The New York Times’s website and app throughout the end of 2021. Browse through the listings to discover your favorites.
